ABOUT ME
My biggest passion in life is supporting ANYONE who has Big Emotions, have spirited kids
with Big Emotions or loved ones with Big Emotions.
neurodivergent affirming !!!
My goal in working with you is to give you real, evidence-based tools to navigate your Big Emotions (and other people’s too). I also help you understand the science behind the tools, so they actually make sense and feel easier to use.
As humans, pain is part of life. But suffering… well, we can actually do something about that. The skills I share don’t just reduce suffering, they tend to shift all your relationships, including the most important one: the one you have with yourself.
I’ve been a Parenting and Big Emotions Coach for over 12 years, spent the last 5 years writing Parenting, DBT Kids', and DBT Teen programs, and have spent about 20 years running workshops and support groups. I’m trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and I use it with adults as well as with parents, partners, and siblings of people who feel things deeply. DBT is full of practical, powerful skills that make incredible difference in the lives of those who feel Big Emotions.
I also use Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) to help uncover what’s actually driving the emotional intensity, and to work with you to find solutions that truly fit (for yourself, interactions with your partner or child). And through Compassionate Communication (NVC), I help you build the kind of communication that leads to real connection and much less conflict.
Everything I offer comes from a place of compassion, respect, and complete non-judgment. Together, we’ll find ways to ease your stress, overwhelm, frustration, and burnout, and help you feel more supported and validated.
And just so you know… I really, really get it. My three kids, my partner, and I all have brains wired for Big Emotions. This has led me to take a neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, so our work together is always rooted in compassion, respect, and seeing your brain or your loved one's brain as different, not broken.
I feel so grateful to do this work with neurodivergent individuals, including ADHDers, autistics, and people navigating OCD, RSD, BPD, PDA, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, SPD, and more. This work truly is a labour of love, and you are fully welcome here, exactly as you are, no matter your background, identity, or story. This is a space that is explicitly inclusive of LGBTQIA+ folks, including trans and nonbinary people.
I also offer a sliding scale based on income, and I’ll always do my best to make support accessible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out because of finances.
I’d truly love to work with you and help you create a life that feels more wonderful, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
