TESTIMONIAL

"Ani entered our life at a time when we didn't quite know what we were looking for, other than knowing we needed help. Her tone soothed us immediately. We felt listened to, understood and at no point did she judge us for our parenting mistakes or personality flaws. She took the time to understand our needs, our goals, our parenting philosophy and our preferences. Her assessment was on point and her knowledge of the topic at hand was obvious.

Over the weeks, she explored our family life but also our childhoods, shedding light on it in a new way and highlighting elements that we had never connected. How she managed to dig so deep in our hearts over the space of just a few hours spent together via webcam will always amaze us.

Managing big emotions was our initial challenge. Understanding more about ourselves and specific needs and characteristics of people in our family was a side effect of consulting Ani that we will forever be grateful for. Better relationships, happier parents and children, as well as a more peaceful household were the result of her teaching and our commitment to her methods.

Let's be honest, the work we started with Ani is not finished, I doubt it ever will be. Although Ani's tools appear so simple and obvious (because she explains them so well with all the scientific background for it), they require strong will and dedication to change. To be even more honest, there are days where we still fail miserably at using the methods. We consider her support throughout the implementation to be essential for us. As we progressed with the skills we were learning, she underlined our successes and gently identified the areas of improvement, for which she provided us with specific tools and coping strategies

We wish Ani came into our lives many years ago, she is a precious ally of our happiness."

You're not alone, and support is here!

Ani has greatly exceeded our expectations in her coaching sessions both for us as parents and for our 14 year old son. Her heart radiates unconditional love and true compassion, validating both sides of the challenges that parents and children face in their relationships. She guides her clients into deeper awareness and clarity and provides practical strategies to bring more connection between family members.

Each time Ani works with our son we are amazed by her brilliant ability to instantly understand, validate, and guide him, while it takes us many times longer to understand the complexity of our son’s inner world. Some gifts are priceless beyond measure and Ani is one of them.

Our son is opening up and expressing his emotions for the first time in his life, learning non-violent communication, and finding a new level of inner harmony as Ani guides him along his path.

Working with Ani has honestly been a life-changing experience for me. I have never met someone who takes the time to understand how I’m feeling and she doesn’t make me feel crazy about it. Her validation and ability to understand my neurodivergent struggles has built my self esteem so much.

S.D.

I have had an extensive medical history that spans back to 1974. I have met with some of Canada’s leading psychiatrists and psychologists and have spent many hours in rooms chatting over many years due to my health conditions of which there are many.

I was looking for a person, a professional, that would help me and change the way that I was thinking helping me to find a foundation based on truths, a foundation to love myself and the opportunity to think of myself as someone that could be far more than I was at the moment.

Those pesky moments where one is judging themselves, mentally thinking constantly that they are not good enough, the anxiety that fills your day and in some cases paralyzes you. If any of this rings a bell in any way I can think of no better person than Ani to work with. She is talented, insightful, thoughtful, will help you work and give you ways in which those ideas become less. She is keen to see her clients excel giving one guidelines and homework that they complete between sessions. I was sceptical at first having spoken to so many different people over the years. She is the FIRST person that I have ever worked with that has helped move my life in the way that she has.

I am meditating which is calming my ADHD symptoms down, I am writing and listening to pod casts and exploring the world of what ADHD is and different ways that I can work and l’ve been doing it in a non judgemental way. All thanks to the work that I have done because of what Ani has taught me. My life is so much brighter and more rewarding thanks to her.

I would implore anyone that has ADHD to reach out and start working with her as she is one of the best people I have ever come across in my life to deal with such matters. You shall not be disappointed!

N.B.

Working with Ani was a wonderful experience.  The connection and understanding she provided me was a huge relief with regards to the struggles I have faced parenting my two neurodiverse boys. As a neurodiverse single mom, I have often felt inadequate when trying to provide my boys with the tools and skills needed to help them sufficiently.  Ani helped me to gain perspective and insight into my feelings and behaviours therefore allowing me to explore alternatives to repeating the frustrating unproductive cycle my boys and I were stuck in.  I am very grateful to Ani for all her help. I would highly recommend Ani for your neurodiverse mental health needs!

Simply put: Ani Spooner is my guardian angel.
She is warm, kind, and genuine. The things I am learning from her feel like superpowers.
The impact of our time together will be felt for the rest of my life: as a more complete individual, a friend, a romantic partner, and a father. I cannot recommend her enough!

I've been having parenting sessions with Ani for 8 months now, and I can say that she has been a light in the dark. I started at a very low point of my self esteem as a parent of one neurodiverse child and another suffering with deep anxiety.
Ani has a great experience and a listening attitude that puts you at ease. I felt welcomed by her smiling eyes from the first minute and able to open the flood of emotions that were weighing me down. She taught me several strategies to interact with my kids and helped me to look into their world more easily. I'm very grateful I've encountered her in my life!

"Our kids are forces of nature. Ani helped us understand them and figure out who they really are and what they need from us. Her sessions were the perfect shelter from the storm; she gave us practical and judgment-free advice, which is hard to find."

J&J + 2 kids

Working with Ani made a big difference in building better relationship with our 14 years old child with ADHD. It helped us understand and accept our child and change the way we react to ADHD related behavior. We are so happy we found someone like Ani and would highly recommend Ani to parents.

Grey K.'s parents

"We are so glad that we found Ani! Our 6-year old was recently diagnosed with ADHD-Hyperactive Impulsive and we had more questions than answers. In the first few sessions working with Ani, she helped us understand how he learns, the best ways to modify behaviour, how to help him with 'big feelings', and even what to expect if we consider medication. In a nutshell, she is helping us parent him in a way that works for our family (while keeping our sanity!). She is empathetic, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. I have already recommended her to others.“

Ani, you changed our lives. You have taught me how to connect with my kids. You have helped me manage my child’s anxiety. Your approach is so on point, kind, you are never judgemental and a great listener. I am so lucky to have met you and be able to share with you my struggles. You have helped me overcome a lot. So Thank you!
